Hello everyone.
After trawling various threads and getting confused I thought I may as well ask directly for help.
I have been getting calls and texts from MKRR for the last few months. I signed up to noddle and have found a defaulted account which I assume they have bought from my old Bank (halifax).
The long story shortened; In 2010 I was was to repay my student overdraft of £2000 in full which I couldn't at the time afford. I had to wait until I had been moved to collections so that I could set up a payment plan which I did after speaking to a debt advisor. After several months I got a phone call from Halifax saying my payments had been stopped so I had been charged more interest - I hadn't stopped the payments so asked for the charges to be taken off as I was still unemployed and I had done nothing to stop my direct debit (so assume something went wrong their end). After long phone calls and many tears I gave up trying to talk to them and buried my head in the sand hoping to pay it off once I had a job.
I know this wasn't the right thing to do but I suffer from mental health problems and couldn't cope with it, please no telling off
I talked to a debt advisor last week and they have sent me a pack including my budget sheet which shoes I can't afford to pay a thing as I'm homeless and on jsa having left uni due to illness.
Should I just send that to MKRR or should I ask for proof??
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
