  • Mobile Debt

After losing his job my son could not afford his mobile phone contract. He sent them a letter offering £1 a month which was never refused and although they are accepting this payment he has now been given to a DCA and phone company claim they have never agreed to him paying £1.

They refuse to talk and he has been told only to contact DCA.

£100 has been added to his debt with no explanation.

The debt has been disputed although phone company claim not to have received dispute letter.

    Phone company is VODAFONE.

    Can you help please

    Re: Mobile Debt

Has the £100 been added by the debt recovery pepz?
Im going through a bit of bother with mobile phone companies at the moment.

I had vodafone years ago and they did the same, added £150 after passing it had a bill of £560 for some reason.
Im not sure a phone company would accept £1 a month to get rid. I would send a letter recorded delivery asking for this, state that as soon as your son finds employment somthing will be done but for now you can't afford to pay normal fees.

Sorry to hear of your problems
