Hi all, I am new to forums so apologise if this post is not in the correct place.
I was issued a parking charge notice whilst using a PPS car park in Plymouth. I had purchased a ticket 20 mins before the charge notice was issued. I appealed to pps by letter along with photocopies
of the ticket stub and parking notice and explained the ticket stub had no adhesive tab so I tried to scotch tape it to the windscreen but unfortunately fell face down on the dashboard and was reattached 20 mins later along with the charge notice for the attendant to see a ticket had been purchased. In the reply from PPS they stated that their photographic evidence shows "a piece of paper on the dashboard", and therefore i have to pay an extre £100. The ticket has a square punched area in the corner and can easily be recognised as a ticket. I have both the original ticket, charge notice and letter received by PPS and have made an appeal to popla, is there anything I can do if popla reject my appeal? I am fairly positive there would be a cctv camera that would show a ticket was purchased? Any help would be massively appreciated as I think it is unfair to have to pay an extra £100 when I cannot afford it . Thank you.

I got that, but i'd like to know what the wording of the popla is.

Pictures of the signs too if possible.

My appeal was to premier parking solutions for a parking fine of £100 for using their car park even though I had purchased a ticket for 24 hours. Thank you for a speedy reply Mystery1

Sorry, I have copies of the letters that I could supply and the pics sent by pps if that would help

Re: Didcot Train Station, Station Road (Premier Parking Solutions)

I wrote, I had used their car park 2 weeks previous and the week the ticket was issued without problems and explained that I had always purchased a ticket prior to entering the car park, I was aware that the pay and display system and that the ticket does not come with an adhesive tab, so I tried to scotch tape the ticket to my windscreen and when I returned less than 20 mins laterto find there was a fine attached to my windscreen. I then attached both the ticket and fine to the windscreen in the hope the parking attendant would see that a ticket was purchased. I also explained I had appealed to PPS which was rejected and quoted "there was a piece of paper on the dashboard" from the rejection letter sent by PPS explaining that there is a square punched out area near the corner of the ticket matches the square punch mark on my ticket stub. I did make a phone call to PPS at the time I found the ticket but did not mention that in my statement to popla as I was restricted to 2000 characters on the statement area on the site but I scanned all the paperwork I have (my evidence and letters/pics received by PPS). Thanks again for your patience Mystery1

Are the signs as unreadable in the actual evidence pack as it is posted by Kati ?

Don't be sorry, it's saved your skin !

I would respond to the evidence as follows. (remember you only have a limited time frame to do this)

I wish to respond to the operators evidence as follows :-

The signage is unreadable and as such there is no evidence that the ticket, which the operator admits is in the pictures of the dashboard, must be in a certain position or even on display at all. As such there is no contravention and the appeal allowed.
