Ok well the stance should as you have already posted on another thread.

They should drop the case, as they don't own the debt. We have a letter from them in dated "whatever", they states the debt was passed to another company. We would prefer the case to be dropped, else we will ask the court to review their contempt.

    Or something like that!

    Thanks

    Sounds like a plan :okay:

Stick with it Greg... I'm in an identical position. If it goes beyond mediation, I will forward you my contact details and we can crush these idiots together.

I'm going to discuss on this thread now if that's ok with you all.

Mediation team have rejected my proposal, and it is now going straight to court.

I can only assume Greg's case will be the same.

I prefer everyone to stick to their own thread or it gets messy and confusing. There are a few in the same boat and maybe others who haven't posted too. I'm sure most of you are keeping up with each others threads anyway but it is annoying to read a thread and find it loses fizz when you think it can help you and you get to the end and wonder what happened which happens to new posters quite often.

I really need to get my finger out on the contempt of court stuff now we are getting closer. Hopefully over the weekend.

I'm in the same position now also. Court called me yesterday but I said I wasn't sure if I could answer yes to all mediation must questions? Do I need to request and further docs from CEL? I'm really nervous my mediation meeting is 1st October if I accept it. But I don't even know what I should say to them?! Pls help

Re: Claim received from Northampton County Court Business Centre

I've been talking to someone else who has been offered mediation on the 1st, as well as mine (before they decided mediation the way forward). Don't be nervous, there are at least four of us at exactly the same stage. CEL are looking for people like yourself to cave in to the pressure and pay them hundreds of pounds. Let's all stick together, make the most of Mystery1's advice and come out smiling.

I'm more than happy to chat with anyone that feel they're alone in this process. I'm not a legal expert, but I will never pay a penny towards a fraudulent company like CEL.

I believe our Mediation is going to take place on the 30th September, I have agreed with them that I will be doing the call on my wife's behalf. MrRK what did you propose and why did they reject it?

                    Hi All,

I believe we may have had a victory!

We had a letter from the mediation service stating that it was being referred to the County Court, I phoned them up as I believed this to be in error as we had not had mediation. So finally spoke to them, they arranged a mediation call for 30th of this month.

We have since just received the following:

                    Good Morning,

You spoke to one of my colleagues regarding arranging a mediation appointment for the 30th of September 2015. Please be advised that the claimant has emailed us in to confirm that they are discontinuing the claim. As such, the mediation appointment for the 30th of September will be cancelled as it is no longer needed.

I hope that this is of some assistance.

                    Regards,

It appears so, if you wish it to be. I would, upon receipt on confirmation, request wasted costs and still complain about the contempt of court (which i still haven't done ffs !).

                                Hi M1,

Provided I can do this on behalf of my wife, I am happy to do this, and yes claim for wasted costs and also flag the contempt. Happy to rub that salt into the wound

                                Cheers
