Hi, my wife visited the Peel Centre in Stockport and purchased a ticket. She paid £3 for 3-4 hours parking, however was only in the car park for 47minutes.
She entered her registration into the machine and inserted the money. She has then pressed the green button for the issue of the ticket. As she has done this she thinks she has knocked the Q button which was next to the green button. However the machine has still issued the ticket but with just a Q on it instead of the full registration.
On the back of the ticket it states that it should only display the date and time.
About a week later we have then received a PCN for £100 from excel parking services stating that we didn't buy a ticket for the car park.
We have appealed this sending them a picture of the ticket we purchased, however they have refused the appeal.
I have been back to the car park and looked at the terms and conditions sign. This states that the ticket should display the time, date and registration. This appears to contradict what is on the back of the ticket.
I have been given details on how to appeal to the IPC Independent appeals service.
Is there anybody that is able to provide advise on what is the best course of action in relation to an appeal?
Many Thanks
Nick
