Hi,
My son received a parking notice through the post for parking at Basingstoke train station, in the premium bays.
He paid for a ticket using RingGo, however, this was a few hours after parking, as e forgot when rushing for the train.
When he returned to the car, there was no ticket, so he assumed paying for a ticket was done in time.
However, around 30 days later, he received a notice through the post of a non payment for a ticket, with the letter stating that the charge had increased to £120. He called them to discuss the fact no ticket was on the car, so was not aware of any issues until the letter was received, however, all they said was that you can appeal online, but it will fail.
The penalty notice is being administered by Parking Collection Services on behalf of CP Plus Ltd.
My son isnt necessarily disputing the penalty notice, although he did pay for a ticket during the day, it wasnt until later, he is however disputing the fact that he isnt being given the chance to pay the original penalty charge due to no ticket being on the car. Why it wasnt on the car I have no idea, unless someone removed it.
What would you suggest is the best way forwards?
Best Regards
Steve
