Hi guys, this is my first time here.
I received a parking ticket for £100 from MET parking this morning outside my own flat. There is a small car park in front of the block of flats that is patrolled by MET - the idea I presume, is to stop people taking the few spaces that are there, and going off to the local shops.
Anyway, MET issued parking permits about 5 weeks ago, which I put in my car, but during the windy weekend the permit slipped down the dashboard. This morning when I looked, only the bottom corner of the permit was still visible - but it was clearly a permit. The car has been there for the past few weeks with a permit, so they have seen it on multiple occasions 'legally' parked. It seems as though they didn't need much of an excuse to issue the ticket. The reason on the ticket was "code: 01 - the vehicle did not clearly display a valid parking ticket/voucher/permit"
I know ultimately I am responsible for displaying the permit but surely they are on site to stop non-residents using the car park, not to make money out of residents.
I have seen other posts by MET 'customers' who recommend @mystery1 as a source of help but if anyone has something to add please feel free
Any advice would be gratefully received
Matt
