I've just re-read the letter, and I can't agree that it doesn't apply to your case. I believe it applies almost perfectly to your case. The fact that the return address for correspondence may be your home in Australia is likely to be enough in itself to stop action in its tracks. You would need to specify this clearly in your letter, stating that is your place of residence and should they intend to pursue it, please correspond with you in Australia allowing appropriate extra time for service of letters, otherwise you will seek to have any judgment overturned.
