Hi.
I’m wanting to VT to get myself back on an even keel.
I’ve read some posts on here, and like others, I was told to put less miles than would ‘probably’ do by the salesman. And not to worry if come and got a new car. I know this is hard to prove. And the salesman was gone by the next year.
I’m well over 50% due to VWFS, but I’m around 40,000 miles over.
My circumstances did change 6 months after getting the car. Meaning my miles increased dramatically.
I think it’s £0.06pm over, so about £3,000 over my allowance.
R0b I’ve got and read your guidance. Thanks for that. But my question is; am I still in a good position to argue against the excess miles as they don’t fall under the terms if the contact is terminated early (VT’d)? With them being quite some over.
My vehicle has been regularly serviced, due to the miles, and so I’ve taken reasonable care of the vehicle?
My intentions were to keep the vehicle at the end and refinance. But I need a cheaper monthly option. And the excess miles are getting too much.
I’ve read a post who also dealt with VWFS, but it never stated how it ended up. Do they do like I’ve read BMW do, and put negative markers on credit files, in breach of DP?
Finally, are minor alloy scuffs covered under ‘wear and tear’?
Thanks for you help and advice.
