Hi,
I moved into my new home about 2 years ago with my mum. We get a discount on our council tax becuase she receives pension credit and attendance allowance.
During the last two years I got married and had child.
However my wife and child and to a lesser degree myself, lived with my inlaws which is not in the same borough as the new home. But we did vist on weekends the new home. This was because we both work near my inlaws and for child care duties.
However my wife and child would now like to live in the new home.
My question is do I have to declare this change of circumstances for the Council Tax and/or the electoral roll. Also will this mean we lose our discount and are there any ramifications because I did not declare I was married and had achile 2 years ago.
Any advice would be great.
