  • Buying Freehold....without telling other leaseholders ?

    Hi Guys

The landlord is prepared to sell the Freehold to a block of flats I currently live in... there are 5 flats in total with all of us being leaseholders....I have contacted him directly and he said he will sell it to me.

Am I ok to go ahead and purchase this ? or do I legally have to advise everyone else in the building that it's for sale ?

I have a feeling I'm "supposed" to tell all the other leaseholders but what law is actually stopping me from just buying it ? and if I did just go ahead and buy it without telling the other leaseholders is there anything they can really do about it after ?

    Many thanks

    the
