Re: Raising an Action for Discrimination in Scotland
I may be being pessimistic but I would take that statement with a ton of salt. They are hardly going to say that they won't take allegations seriously, are they? It's just been my experience - and this is purely an opinion based on my experience with them - that they take very little seriously. I know that companies who have been attempting to strike off to avoid legal proceedings have been struck off the register despite myself and other lawyers having notified Companies House that they are subject to legal proceedings - you are not supposed to be able to apply for a strike off in such circumstances. I know that complaints I and others have made about the actions of directors have resulted in no action - and we are not talking about minor complaints either, but very serious ones. I won't go into details, but my personal experience of Companies House is that they are toothless and will do nothing.
