    I may be being pessimistic but I would take that statement with a ton of salt. They are hardly going to say that they won't take allegations seriously, are they? It's just been my experience - and this is purely an opinion based on my experience with them - that they take very little seriously. I know that companies who have been attempting to strike off to avoid legal proceedings have been struck off the register despite myself and other lawyers having notified Companies House that they are subject to legal proceedings - you are not supposed to be able to apply for a strike off in such circumstances. I know that complaints I and others have made about the actions of directors have resulted in no action - and we are not talking about minor complaints either, but very serious ones. I won't go into details, but my personal experience of Companies House is that they are toothless and will do nothing.

      My experience of Companies House coincides with the above - admittedly on a much more personal level! IMHO they are nothing more than a glorified filing system that gets just a little tetchy if documents aren't submitted on time. They don't appear to bother their pretty little heads about other issues unless there are spelt out and demonstrable criminal acts - ie irregularities involving 7 figure sums (although I have no personal evidence that even that would galvanise them, whatever they say).

      Have a look at these links if you haven't already https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-a-limited-company http://www.bis.gov.uk/insolvency/Com...-organisations

        Re: Raising an Action for Discrimination in Scotland

        I'm still trying to work with the PDF file to erase the names and addresses listed, regarding the Companies Act 2006.

        Regarding the ban on granting me a permit to fish for salmon, I just obtained a copy of the standard migratory fish lease from the Crown Estate's agent and it looks like they have no obligation to sell anyone a permit that they don't want to...

        Is there anything about this anyone can see, which may breach my consumer rights to be involved in the fishing?

        "5. RIGHT TO GRANT PERMITSNotwithstanding the exclusion of sub-tenants and assignees the Tenant shall, with the Consent of the Commissioners, have the right to grant Permits only to individuals (which, for the avoidance of doubt, shall exclude all groups of individuals) to fish by rod and line within the bounds of the Fishings but subject to such regulations and conditions as may from time to time be laid down by the Commissioners, the District Salmon Fishery Board, by any fishing improvement association or other recognised body concerned with the regulation of the Fishings; BUT DECLARING that
        (i) Permits shall be refused or may be withdrawn at the discretion of the Commissioners or the Tenant or any officials appointed by them and acting on their behalf;
        (ii) Permits will not be granted to persons convicted of offences under the Salmon Acts or to those whom the Commissioners believe to be unsuitable;
        (iii) the Commissioners and the Tenant shall not be required to give reasons for such refusal or withdrawal."
