Situation:
Member of a private sailing club was seriously injured in a car crash. Group of members, all known to him, signed a "get Well Soon" card to send to him.
Club secretary was asked for his address so that the card could be delivered. Secretary refused to give out details stating that the DPA prevented her from doing this.
Is this a valid reason, given that it is a members only club?
The address in question was about 400 yards away but didn't know the exact address. Regular updates received from his wife about the injured members current medical condition.
Secretary is resigning next month! (Thank Goodness) Full of her own importance and always right. One committee member resigned 'cause the minutes were written her way rather than a record of the meeting.
