I've put this in General Issues as I couldn't find one more appropriate
Last Fri i was in a library using a pc. An "additional volunteer" came up behind me unexpectedly and put their hands on my shoulders making me jump and scream out. I was wearing a sleeveless top so there was skin to skin contact.
I asked to talk to senior staff member about this but as none were there they gave me a form which I completed and returned and await a reply. Can I claim compensation from or sue the local authority for upset or assault etc, and if so would the sums involved be worth it? Also if I did this or complain to the police could the library ban me?
