I would follow ISLANDGIRL's suggestion and send them a Letter Before Action claiming vet's fees and any other costs arising from the other dog's attack on your dog. The letter alone may be enough to make them think again.

Also - don't you have a video of the attack on your dog? Have you shared it with the other dog owner? They may think you have no evidence of the attack and may think there is nothing you can do.

If they call your bluff on the letter before action, you'll have to decide whether to go ahead and sue them. If it's cost you over a grand to date, you might as well go ahead...

The only problem is - you didn't have a name or an address for the other dog owner when you last posted. Do you have those now?

I've been in touch with them via Facebook and WhatsApp, but after sharing the video with them they are blocking me.
I don't have an address to write to them.. so I'm not sure what I can do.

      Thanks

If you haven't been able to trace them yourself you could employ a tracing agent... just google for one
