  • Ex refusing access

    Hi everyone

My son is having problems with his ex partner. She is refusing him access to his 2 year old child. She has also contacted CSA and told them he doesn't pay her anything - he does and has sent proof to CSA. CSA have sent his employer a letter asking for money to be stopped directly from his salary - they have done so he is now paying double the amount. CSA have promised to send another letter asap to his employer but this situation is ridiculous as nothing is being done to stop the ex from constantly contacting CSA and saying he isnt paying. He has asked that it be put on record that she keeps doing this so we will just have to wait and see. My question is how can he gain access to his child and how can he stop his ex from causing so much trouble? She is slandering him to everyone - has even told family and friends that there was domestic violence

Any help appreciated - thanks in advance

For access he would have to go through the court process to obtain an order, unfortunately this could take some time and even if granted be ignored with multiple trips back to court before he actually gets to see his son.

Regards the accusations she is making, there isn't actually much he can do other than put the record straight.

Acrimonious break ups unfortunately lead to this kind of thing and she is doing more harm to the child than good, but it's a way to hurt your son and unfortunately that's currently all she cares about by the sound of it.

If she wants to be paid via the CSA I'd suggest let her and your son stop paying her directly, then that's the easy fix for her keep phoning them. They'll know she getting paid as they'll be paying her, so she'll just be wasting her time.

I agree with Jaguarsuk - Using a child as a weapon is, in my view, a form of child abuse.
