When I read this sort of thing it restores my faith in humanity. I am sickened by some of the legal cases I have read on here involving children. Parents who sometimes believe the best way to demonstrate their love is to have court orders issued to force their children to live with them and parents whose neglect have led to the court having to take action. But for every bad parent there are hundreds of thousands of good ones.
It is so easy to believe that the world is a cold and cruel place.
Ok, I know I sound stoned but even on this site where we have all known despair, fear and heartbreak there are success stories. We have solidarity, compassion and practical help given freely and without judgment or conditions. We have our fun posts and smilies to give us a smile even during our lowest moments.
Yea, we may be considered the scum of the earth by the ‘never a borrower’ brigade. We may be skint and we may be angry but we have each other in the darkest hours and there are few who can say that!
