      It all sounds wonderful Puff but one little caveat (from a perhaps cynical POV) just make very sure that any plan is needs-driven rather than costs-driven or according to what is already available.


      "Domicillary care" would be the cheapest option and might involve your friend as the main carer with other people (usually agency employed) coming in for, (in practice) say, a couple of half hours a day. http://www.nhs.uk/CarersDirect/guide.../Homecare.aspx

      In practice, it isn't really a recipe for independent living IMHO and much more geared to the elderly rather than a young man needing ongoing holistic support to reach his potential.
