Hi,
I recently signed a confidentiality agreement with my former employer, agreeing not to speak about the settlement they offered me or to say anything disparaging about the business.
I may have told one or two people about the settlement, before I signed the agreement. Is this going to count against me, if they found out about it? I have not said a word since signing the agreement, and I have, in fact, removed a couple of reviews I made about them as a business on glassdoor.com.
I don't expect they will find out in any case, but as it comes with the threat of paying back the settlement, I'd like to know where I stand, just in case.
Does this non disclosure or confidentiality agreement work retroactively, or is it from when I signed the document? I don't intend on ever speaking about them again, as far as I'm concerned I'm through with them, completely.
Once again, any advice is greatly appreciated.
