    I'm sure there are some people who are just looking to earn some extra money while studying, looking after kids or after retiring.

    These contracts are not suitable for most people. You'd hardly get a tenancy so no f'ing argument about zero hour contracts being largely exploitative!

      Well only just read this thread, sorry xx

      It is a relevant subject and I post petitions about similar issues ( there is one in my signature) There's no barr on asking for support for a petition - so long as they are relevant - and you are prepared to discuss the counter arguments in a reasonable manner.

      I won't be signing the petition though as personally it is not something I agree with.

      Also, if you don't mind me saying I don't understand how ''Government ignoring common sense with this issue and trying to blanket situation out!'' is a reasoned argument to encourage people to sign.

      Could we try keep the personal attacks and swearing down to an absolute minimum, else the thread will be closed for reasons other than the subject matter.
