Hi TedSkillz that upload is very useful and it appears they have covered all the aspects of what they are trying to reclaim back from you. I would make the following points:

    1. Have the costs as set out in your post #9 taken account of the sliding scale? If you are unsure or they have not then you need to either find out or ask them to apply the correct sliding scale % deduction.

    2. If you have established that the course cost them nothing to put you on then again this is something that you should ask them about.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.

      Hi @ula

The below was the HR ladies response.

"My understanding on discussion with X and XX is that courses such as the one you attended are included as part of the annual training levy which is charged to the site by XXX UK, which is why a zero cost shows on TMSI.

The training costs for the course you attended were calculated on the following basis:

Annual Training Levy for the site for 2021 / Total Days Training attended in 2021 = per training day rate"

If they have mentioned annual training level this related to apprenticeships so are you on one?

Can you confirm when you signed the training agreement and was this in relation to the apprenticeship?

Hi its not an apprenticeship no, there's constant ongoing training.

The manufacturer we work for runs the training.

So I am presuming that the manufacturer has a training levy with the company which is nothing to with the apprenticeship annual training levy just happens to be called a similar name.

Do you know if the £3314.31 equates to the formula you have set out in your last post from the HR lady? If not or you have not had this broken down to prove the figure, then you can ask you employer to show the workings to confirm this is the correct figure.

Just wanting to make sure that the figures they have provided for you are accurate.

So I'm just waiting on the information above but it seems to be difficult to get out of them. We actually have a training target and upon hitting that target the company gets money back from the manufacturer. Should this be equated into the sum too as the "training costs" would be offset for the company?

as it stands I'm disputing solely on the basis that the course has a cost of £0. So when I went on it it was under this belief.

In order to make the deductions that are permissable by the agreement you signed, the company needs to be able to prove the cost being deducted by each line item I.e. accommodation receipts to the value of £1334.40, travel receipts for £218.20 and the same goes for the training.

So certainy insist you get the proof.
