I applied to my company for a data request .I was sent copies of emails and other data which have been sent. but two managers I had worked for never complied, when I queried this I was told that they no longer hold any information as the two managers in question where no longer my manager as I have moved teams and all correspondence had been deleted.
the company in question is a very big company, so data would have been securely backed up on the companies mail servers and they could be recovered
can I pursue the company to supply me with the emails i want to see?
I was also sent another employees medical history/sickness history which I think was put there to make my employment history look worse than it was ,as this person had been off for a long time due too accidents and operations i know the other person who the poor sickness record belongs too
when I queried the sickness records I was told that it must have been a clerical error by the person who completed the data request, but I think it was done maliciously by one of my previous managers as he has got it for me ....the person with the poor sickness record is now a manager too.
would this be grounds for a grievance and who should I aim the grievance at.
