  • DCB Legal Demand for Payment

The legal owner received a letter before action from dcb legal on behalf of UKCP Limited dating back to 2019. It stated that the driver had parked in a Blue Badge bay without displaying a BB. The legal owner emailed proof of BB . However the legal owner received a very strange email asking for confirmation name, failing which court proceedings would be started. As the matter had already been dealt with the legal owner responded with the name. Only to receive a lengthy letter stating that the pcn is still owed and is to be pwid with 30 days. The legal owner has never received a pcn and was only made aware of this alleged incident on receipt of the letter before claim.

    Any thoughts?

If they are a blue badge owner then the PCN isn't valid and unless the parking company can show the badge wasn't being displayed in the windscreen they will not win in court.
