Documents wise - I think you're saying that Cabot have sent a copy agreement, and that you also got a copy agreement from Vanquis under the SAR - but that the signatures/documents don't match ?
can you email those too possibly ?

              Hi guys,
I'm unsure what to do next, Restons have also sent a copy of an account sale agreement between Vanquish and Cabot. I've never seen this and this wasnt included in the SAR, (Should it have been) it is dated on first page but they forgot to fill the agreement date in and the signatures are on 2 identical separate sheets 1 page with Vanquish signatures other with Cabot signature is this correct procedures.
Do the default letters hold much in them as they are unheaded, and on checking my credit file Cabot defaulted this debt, I didn't think they could and I cant find evidence of earlier default date on my file.
Please any advice will be much appreciated.
              thank you

Is this the deed of assignment ?

Cabot didn't default the debt - Vanquis will have but not reported it and it only started being reported when Cabot took it over. The actual default date should be the date Vanquis defaulted the account. Which credit file are you looking at and where via? (Eg Experian via MSE credit club)

the copy default notices don't need to be on headed paper - just show the lender and your details and give st least 14 days to rectify ( and exclude the fca info sheet and certain text in capitals) which they seem to have done - pt2537 seemed to have some concerns over the default notice so tagging him to have a peek now we've got the full docs.

Hi, thank you for replying, the front page says account sale agreement, it is dated 30/6/17, when Cabot purchased debt, it gives content page of about 50 clauses, it is dated on print at the bottom but the top isn't dated on the start of the agreement nor is the signatures, I would have thought a legal binding document would be dated when signed. Both credit reference I use clear score and credit wise state defaulted in both august and September 17, I do remember Vanquish being on clear score but no sign now. Thank you for passing defaults to your colleague, I really appreciate any help
                    thank you

Clearscore isn't great for showing default dates - I don't know Credit Wise - Credit Karma is good for that but some companies only report to Equifax and not Experian or Transunion, but some do report to them all - still worth checking - you'd expect the actual default date to be December 2015 or Jan 2016.

This is one of my old defaulted accounts on Credit Karma so you know what I'm on about... it actually defaulted in June 2015 but wasn't reported as defaulted by Cabot until Oct 2016. However it will still fall off the credit file in June 2021 ( 6 years from actual default )
