MCOL case General Sanctions Order

Hi, I have a case where my friend is the Claimant, he has received a General Form of Judgment or Order and on MCOL there states that a General Sanctions Order has been made. Please can anyone tell me what this means and what we should do next. I want to request a Default Judgement But the N225 form doesn't cover my scenario.. The Defendant is defending my claim but returned the DQ 2 weeks late, and has now not replied to General Form of Judgment order within the court specified timescale. This form states that we are "At liberty to enter judgment" Please can you advise how I do this? I tried calling the court but I waited so long my home phone ran out of charge.

The defendant may have a genuine reason why the DQ was filed late and you may find the GSO is removed on MCOL soon
Your friend should wait to see if the defence is struck out by the court but I doubt it will be for a DQ filed 2 weeks late

Hi, thanks but the N255 form only gives me two options. Option A states.. "The defendant has not filed an admission or defence to my claim" In our case the defendant has filed a defence but not responded to the General Form of Judgment order. Can you advise if I should select Option A or not? I am currently looking at Form N244 as an option. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi wondering if you can help me I filed a claim through the money claim online against 2 defendants the contracted builder and builders on 29/10/2024 claim issued 30/10/2024 DQ was sent to both party’s the builders filed a defence on 19/11/2024 and a bar put in place on the same date for them I heard nothing and no updates on the MCOL website so contacted money claim online on 30/12/2024 to check on progress I was advised to wait to here from the courts and everything was received from me and the builders it then updated to case stay lifted on same date as the phone call I had heard nothing or no updates on MCOL so contacted them again on 14/1/2025 the lady advised me that they had not received my DQ or the defendants or my request for judgment against the 1st defendant (contracted builder ) and the case stated was lifted and stayed on the same date as phone call on 20th December but did not show this on MCOL only showed lifted I sent all my things by first class post on 8/12/2024 and she said as it was not sent by recorded delivery they couldn’t find it ? And she needed to send me an email to get the case stay lifted I never received an email so rang back later in the day to a different tale and that I did not need to fill in an email but to send my DQ and judgment request to the relevant email address witch I did on the 14/1/2025 I arrived home on the 15/1/2024 to to find a letter from the courts with my judgment order attached stating I had filled it out wrong and to redo correctly all this after MCOL help line had stated they had. Never received anything from me but clearly as my judgment order was returned and stamped as received on 10th dec 2024 ? The case is now stating general sanctions order was made on 15/01/2025 who is the general sanctions order against me or the defends as it dose not state on MCOL there DQ has been received or is it for me to filling out the forms wrong I am not a solicitor and is my first time doing anything like this please and worrying now could you advise I can also not file anything online through MCOL for some reason it’s Verry confusing for the general public who have never navigated through things like this please could you advise thank you
