Following an online hearing (which the defendant did not bother attending) I have been granted permission to use expert witness with the proviso that the defendant may put written questions to the expert witness by a certain date which has now expired.
I have not received copies of any documents from the defendant or expert witness so take it that the defendant did not do this. This has caused the original trial date to be postponed and this will now take place, online, in May.
My thanks to all who gave their valued advice on this matter.

Good to hear, don't be surprised if the defendant chooses not to attend the trial hearing either if there was a no show to this one. In the meantime, have you checked to see if the dealer is still running the business and hasn't closed down? Not sure if you got costs relating to your application but remember to recover the expect costs per CPR if you are successful as well as any other limited costs you are entitled to - if you don't ask you will not get.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Thanks Rob. Yes the dealership (sole trader) is still going but name has changed from, for example, F F Smith Cars to Fred Smith Cars and the advertised landline number has also changed but the one I have still connects and the same chap is still answering it.
Could you clarify the costs bit please, I was under the impression that court fees would automatically be added to my claim and I do not have any other out of pocket expenses (apart from my time creating e-bundles!!)
