  • Claim form

    Hi,
I have had a claim form for a parking fine from Link Parking Limited. Basically i visited my friends home which has residential parking, i didnt display the parking permit clearly (since found out the company had changed to Link so i actually was not displaying the correct ticket) and i got fined. The fine was £70 if paid within a certain time. I sent a letter back as per my right to dispute this claim and never had any letters or contact from them since until i had a letter saying they will take me to court and then shortly after a claim form from the county court business centre in Northampton. The claim form is missing a letter from my surname so do i need to respond to that letter and is it actualy inforceable? also i had no correspondance from Link parking after my appeal which was done in April this year. i have no idea to be honest and its stressing me out so any help and advise would be appreciated
    Thanks

    Re: Claim form

Sanitise the letter(s) and post them up.

Do you have proof of posting for the appeal ?

what do u mean by sanitise the letter? I also have a copy of the letter i sent via recorded delivery and can look for the tracking number if needed. I know after speaking to my friend that i am in the wrong and i would have paid the £70 but i didnt get any correspondance so i thought they may have just dismissed the case becuase its been such a long time with no contact

Remove your name address etc and blank out barcodes too. Leave dates in.

Sorry but it seems like it's totally up to the solicitors to ask their client if they wish to cancel. It's unlikely this will work, so you will have to fill out acknowledgement forms which will give you 28 days to do defence, but from what it seems like is its your word against theirs, unless they have photographic proof they won't get anywhere but if they do you may find yourself getting a judgment unless you can prove you had an active permit at the time of the PCN.

Do you have proof you WOULD (not necessarily displayed) had a permit at the time of the of the incident?

                    Hi
I have reported your post because you left your name on the first letter

Whatever you decide be it defend or pay you will need to follow the courts timeline . You do have some time however , you have I think 19 days from the date of the claim to acknowledge it so that takes you until the 30th?
