At the end of last year I had a letter before action from Overdales Solicitors. This was a financially difficult time of the year but I knew my finances would improve after winter so I hoped to delay them with requests for more information. Over time they complied with the requests and did send all the required information even if there were huge delays. I accept that I owe the money but have made the mistake of not paying it sooner, assuming they would likely send a new letter of claim before actually going to the court. I've made a mistake and now have to pay the extra fees.
I am here to make sure that I make no more mistakes and ask if I am right in thinking (after reading the court form) that, so long as I pay within 14 days in full then there are no other actions I need to take? ie. there are no forms I should fill in and that it will be up to Overdales to inform the court they have been paid. Any advice would give me confidence that I'm doing the right thing.
Thank you for your time.
On a side note I have used the advice on this forum many years ago to successfully defend a case. It is amazing to see after all these years the same people still offering their time and expertise to help others in what is always a stressful time.
