    Hi

    I have received the letter today, its for o2 contract which i had on 2012 and its been defaulted for 800GBP since then.
    i did acknowledgment it online just now and i need some info about my next move. i was thinking about getting a solicitor
    as it seems some peoples think this is not a real ccj. and the other think is do i need to send a cpr 31.14 or not.

    Yes it's real and yes you need to act upon it.

    If you wish to defend this yourself then yes send the CPR 31.14 request to them and send an SAR to O2.

      WHo said it wasn't real? anyway that you have been able to log in to MCOL and acknowledge the claim says it is real. No wonder so many people end up with default judgments. As Jags said, send the CPR 31.14 letter - I'd also send a SAR ( below ) to o2. Do you know when in 2012 this terminated/defaulted? Any issues with it or just a case of becoming unaffordable and defaulting on payments so they are claiming the full contract term from you?

        the o2 contract was 2012 and defaulted date 2013. and yes i could not afford to pay for it after few months. i will try to pay make installment
        but the question if i do that will they or can they add ccj to my credit fill?

        Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

        Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

        If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
