So RLP got it wrong again, or more likely just trying it on!

Your ex employer lost no stock, just cash (which you have repaid as echat11 has already pointed out --- he's sharper than me)

So I would write to RLP pointing out the losses had already been repaid and I was not liable for their security costs (as per the Oxford case of which they will be aware)
