Re: Kennel Club reg puppy purchased - but Kennel Club reg later voided
I think your claim will be on the basis that the breeder misrepresented the parentage of the puppy.
When you bought the animal you received a pedigree form which showed the sire as XYZ and the dam as ABC.
One or both of these must be false as those two animals could not throw puppies of the colour you purchased.
You will need to prove that.
Your loss will then need to be quantified on the basis you were lead to understand the puppy was correctly registered on the Breed Register for pedigree dogs, but it was not CORRECTLY so registered.
So you paid the price for a dog CORRECTLY registered on the breed register, where you should have paid for a dog registered on the Companion Dog Register.
You will then need to get your figures together to work out your loss.
