Hi my experience with Ketone didn't happen on Amazon, it was something that popped up while I was online, i don't think anybody would have realised it was a scam. I did look for the small print and could not find any. My bank refunded the £92.78 that was taken from my account. Fortunately Trading Standards are bringing in legislation in relation to this sort of thing. I am very wary now of anything like that I just close it down. Ketone take £92 per month for these raspberry tablets/capsules I have looked on health shop sites where they are about £24/£25 in this respect Ketone are ripping people off big time! I have the in. My catalogue for just under £30 which is £62 difference!! Rosie

She was pointing out a very good reason why people get caught out most of us are guilty of not reading the small print Amazon being a good example

Hi I realise she was making a point, Amazon Prime as I understand it is supposed to be about delivery, I cannot see the point In paying £79 per month for that. I was. Just making a point myself. As I said Trading Standards are bringing in legislation on all this. Rosie

Hi just had had a letter from Halifax this morning about Ketone they say they are going to debit the refund from my account at the end of the month. When I spoke to Halifax this morning they said the refund was done while they investigated the matter! I was NEVER informed of this. Halifax told me at the time that Ketone had 40 days to challenge the refund and if they did the money would have to come out of my account again. Ketone have not challenged the refund therefore as far as I amconcerned the matter should be put to rest. I have informed Halifax that I am going to write to them challenging this and also I am going to contact Trading Standards on Monday. I personally think the whole thing smacks of I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine syndrome!! I am absolutely fuming I am breathing fire and smoke!!!! Any advice on the matter would be appreciated. Rosie

Being called a liar by my Halifax!,

Hi the issue with. Ketone has raised its ugly head again. I had a letter from Halifax this morning saying that the amount of £92.78 would be debited from my account at the end of the month stating that it had only been done while they investigated the matter. What a load of bull c***! What was said to me was that Ketone had 40 days to dispute the refund and if they did the money would have to come out of my account again, Ketone have not disputed the refund so therefore the money should stay in my account. I found the lady I was speaking to rather patronising and would say that I felt she was calling me a liar without actually saying it. Needless to say the conversation got a bit heated on my part, it was getting like a red flag to a bull. I have started to draft a letter to the director of Retail Banking and will call Trading Standards on Monday. Any help on this would be appreciated. Rosie

              NOT HAPPY!

Hi Nem I have just had a letter from Halifax this morning saying that they are not able to help me where Ketone are concerned which means that at some stage they are going to take them£92.78 they refunded back out of my account again! They say I should pursue Ketone for a satisfactory conclusion but unfortunately I dont have any valid addresses or phone numbers for these people. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Rosie

Hi Kati Halifax are being sneaky in my books they told me at the time that Ketone had 45 days in which to dispute the refund, and if the did then the money would have to come out of my account again. Halifax contacted Ketones processing bank, as far asi can see Ketone have not disputed the refund this is sneaky as far as I am concerned. I am not prepared to lie down to all their nonsense! Rosie

Have you put in a formal complaint? http://www.halifax.co.uk/contactus/how-to-complain/
They have an online complaint form here - https://www.halifax.co.uk/contactus/...ne/default.asp

After that, I'd say that your next step would PROBABLY be the FOS - http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk
                    or the FCA - http://www.fca.org.uk/consumers/comp...ow-to-complain

                      Hi Rosie,

Halifax are useless there's no communication between departments and the frontline operatives have a script and know little else.

Get a formal complaint of the a director (retail banking/personal banking are good ones to start with.

Hi Nem I got a textfromHalifax yesterday asking me to phone them which I did this morning, the complaint has been put to bed now, Ketone did not dispute the refund so the matter is now closed. The lady I spoke to this morning was much more professional and very nice. I am now a happy bunny. Rosie
