I have recently been informed that the local court has sent all my documents which include original ID, bank statements Marriage certificate origional form elsewhere, I am helping my partner divorce her ex husband who is in prison serving a 10 year term for assaults on her children, I will spare the details as you can imagine the nature, I sent the relevant forms in and obviously these included personal details regarding the divorce, along with ID, Marriage certificate, bank statements, a week later I received somebody elses paperwork, with all there ID etc,
I contacted this person as they were local thinking maybe they had received mine, however they had not, I gave him his paperwork and contacted the court, they have now sent a letter saying that it has been sent it to a solicitor who we believe is the ex husbands solicitor, we have spoke to him and he has said that he only represented him on a one off case so all paperwork regarding him would have been sent to the prison, now we are in a position where a dangerous offender potentially has our address details...its a clear breach of Data Protection but how do you go about taking action against the County Court? as I cant summons them as if the event was to be Heard at County Court. Our main concern is that we may have to move home as the ex partner will have our address...
