Good afternoon all,
I wonder if you could give a little advice please.
My partner has a parking permit...or so we thought. As our council no longer issue paper permits, we usually receive a letter 2 weeks before it expires.
He has just gone to the car and he has been issued parking ticket!
We have just checked online and the permit ran out 10/10 but we have received no letter or notice as we usually do.
When he contacted them, the woman on the phone told him, "well I'm sorry, but it's really up to you to make sure it hasn't expired"
Is this true? If that's the case then why send notice on previous occasions?
Without the paper permit normally in the car window it's difficult to keep track!
He will pay this, but I wondered if there was anything we could do?
All advice greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
