  • Non - working activation - Fault ?

I am returning a NAS box which had to be activated using a code given on the box. This didn't work ( after several tries ) even though correctly connected to the internet. Just asking to confirm that this counts as a fault even if it was just due to the manufacturer's server not working properly.

Are you having difficulties returning the NAS box? Did you contact the manufacturer when the problem occurred and was it resolved?
If the code works but was an error on the manufacturers server in terms of validating the code, then I wouldn't say that was a fault, if you were given a new code then arguably yes that could be a fault but I don't know if the code of the NAS box is specific or an alternative can be given.
