Once that's sent you should get a letter from court confirming, then next step with be the directions questionnaire to move it to your local court.

Hi I have received a "Notice of Proposed Allocation to the Small Claims Track" and the Directions Questionnaire. I'm not intending to call any experts or witnesses.
Looks like I need to send a copy of the questionnaire to the claimant- is that correct?

You can do yes It usually says on the N149a letter you get with the Directions Questionnaire whether you need to or not. You should put 1 in the Witness Box as it includes yourself.

Hi just been told the case is being transferred to a local court.
I now have a another problem and wonder if you could point me in the right direction.
My mother in law (aged 80) is an ex teacher very cautious and I thought savvy person. A few weeks ago she got a phone call from a Detective informing her that there was a fraudulent activity on her Nat West account and that she should transfer her money somewhere safe. She dialed 999 to confirm and of course was told it was genuine. She went into her local branch prompted by the "Detective" on the phone and transferred approx 50,000 to 3 other accounts all at Barclays. She spoke to my wife and her son later that evening and realising what had happened they called the police. Attempts were made to stop the transfers but to no avail. So far Nat West has not responded to our attempts to get the money back. Barclays say all but 1000 has gone and they will return that if she signs disclaimers. Any thoughts /advice gratefully received

She went IN to her NatWest branch and transferred 50k to 3 different Barclays accounts without being questioned? I think Natwest will have some serious explaining to do.

Hi Just received "Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track" Set for July 24th and I need to send copies of documents by 10 July.
I have seen the witness statement you did for a case that was dropped- looks very comprehensive- I will copy a few things from that I think. I will also write to the passport office just to confirm if they did actually book an appointment for my daughter.

Just had a look at some of the other witness statements they all seem to have a lot more detail than I do. This is the information I have gathered from my daughter.

26 March 2014 I needed to renew my passport as I was going to Spain in May. I googled passport renewal and the first site I came across was the British Passport Services site. It looked like an official Government site so I started to fill in the form. At some point I realised that the site may not be an official site and closed the form. I did not give payment details.

26 March 2014 1-39pm I received an email stating that they could not book an appointment for me until payment was received (Exhibit A)

26 March 2014 5-18 pm I received an email stating that an appointment had been booked. (Exhibit B). I spoke to my father and he did some research and realised that the site was a scam and told me to ignore all communication from the site

28 March 3-18 pm I received an email stating that I owed £117.60 (Exhibit C)

During April I received several phone calls and texts demanding the money. I deleted the texts and after the first call I blocked the number. In November the texts demanding money started again. ( Exhibit D, E,F)

19 November 2014 9-33 am I received an email saying that it was the final day for me to pay. It contained a link to an invoice and a link to a signed contract. ( Exhibit G). I did not look at the link as I suspected it may contain a virus. When my father did look at it later it was dated 5 February (Exhibit H) and the one printed recently
June 9th (Exhibit I)

6 February 2015 I received notification that UK Passport Services was lodging a court claim. The claimant said that he would send separate detailed particulars within 14 days of service of the claim form. I did not receive anything.

17 February 2015 I filed an Acknowledgment of Service.

3 March 2015 I filed my defence

That's about it. What else should I put in the statement? articles from the papers/ TV etc. Do I need to expand on the defence that I sent in.
When my daughter spoke to me on the 26th March 2016 I told her straight away it was a scam and since she had not paid and the fact she had an email saying they would not book anything unless they received payment to ignore everything they sent through. She did not send a text to cancel the appointment as I had read that Richard Howard had been involved in a phone scam and there was a good chance the texts would be charged at extortionate rates.
