Entitled to back dated JSA?

Hello

I was working part time until I declared this ended on 27 April.

It took till 5 June to get this sorted to go back to normal rate.

Am I supposed to fill out a form or is it done automatically for backdated as I rang they said nothing due but surely from the time told them no longer working till June I should be entitled to the 3 weeks with normal rate as it was not sorted.

How do I receive my jobseekers allowance?

Once you’ve been awarded a JSA, your payments will be backdated to when you applied and then paid fortnightly into your bank account.
Additional good news is, if you have a valid reason for having made a late application, it’s possible to get back payment for up to three months.

Thanks for your reply - I was unfortunately still signing on as the job was only one day a week. Obviously they took off some but now its gone back to what I should have been on if not in the job.
