I am very distressed by the fact that HMRC have passed me on to
Concentrix and Concentrix are stopping my Working Tax Credits as I
have not provided them with 'proof' that I am working more than 16
hours a week.
I most certainly am working more than 16 hours per week, but Concentrix
are so vague about what evidence they require, and give no firm
dates of evidence required FROM a date TO a date. They say they
would accept my diary ?? but my diary is full of other personal
information and info about my child. I cannot send them that. They
say they will accept emails, but they refuse to give out an email
address where I could forward the hundreds of emails I write or
receive in regards to the new products I am bringing to market and
which have been Trademarked in the UK.
There seems to be nowhere I can get help or advice on Concentrix.
Concentrix don't answer the phone, when I call HMRC they tell me
that I must speak to Concentrix, CAB cannot help as they don't know
anything about Concentrix, and I cannot afford a lawyer or an
accountant to deal with this. Concentrix are forcing me to send
copies of my emails through the post due to their complete refusal
to give out an email address. I am on a contract with Hewlett
Packard for 30 printed sheets a month. Thereafter, they charge per
page and I couldn't afford the hundreds of pages which Concentrix
are asking for. Concentrix say that I have to send my emails
through the post 'for security reasons' ?? That makes no sense
whatsoever. These emails have already been back and forth through
the internet. My post, however, via Royal Mail, has been opened on
some ocassions, and items removed.
I have extremely limited resources, no income and no assets. I
cannot get a job as it would breach my New Enterprise Allowance
conditions, plus I have many meetings and courses to attend through
the week. In addition, a lot of the 'work' I do is conceptualisation
of new products. How on earth do I prove THAT ?
I am a registered company at Companies House, and I am registered
for VAT. I receive no salary from my business as I am at the pre
trade stage collaborating with a University on Design for
Manufacture of my products.
When HMRC/Concentrix stop my Working Tax Credits, which I am
entirely eligible for, I don't know what myself and my child will
do. I am terrified. But I cannot get through to them and they have
instructed HMRC that I am working less than 15 hours a week, without
any evidence or proof. It's like talking to a brick wall if I do get through.
I am unsure as to why HMRC have passed me on to Concentrix, but
suspect it might be because my married name is the name my
National Insurance number is under (which I would like to keep for
continuity with my son, passports etc) but my registered business
name is my maiden name. I have asked if this is the case but had no response.
My child and I live alone. I have no partner, no family, no friends.
We are very isolated socially and this threat to our survival is
causing us extreme anguish.
The only advice I have had thus far is to contact the CAB to ask for food bank vouchers !!!
