  • Benefit Advice

    Hi
I am new to forums so hopefully doing this right.
I am asking for advice on the following: a marital breakup requires that I move out. I will have enough money to buy outright a suitable property for myself and my 18 year old daughter (who will be going to uni in 18 months)
I am currently a full time students doing a degree and have two more academic years after this one. My concern is: once I buy a property, how will I run it, utilities food etc?. Will I likely be entitled to any benefits until I complete my degree and find employment. I am unfamiliar with state benefits and never been in a position to claim before. Where will I get good advice?

    Thank you

        Re: Benefit Advice

The rules regarding benefits for students are complicated.
Two sites you might find helpful and are generally regarded as sound are :http://www.turn2us.org.uk/informatio..._students.aspx and
        http://www.nus.org.uk/en/advice/mone...-as-a-student/
