  • Diagnosed with Delerium

    Hi
this might be the wrong forum and I apologise in advance but wasn’t sure where to place it.

my elderly cousin is in hospital and they have finally diagnosed Delerium but will not confirm the cause of it. He is 88 and had a very large stone in his kidney and severe UTI’s last year. The urologist co turned it was severe and life threatening and toxins could be released into his body that would cause severe health problems and that they would have to operate urgently become the stone started to disburse itself. They then left the operation too long and found the stone had moved to his bladder and disbursed. Since then he has not been right. They assumed he had dementia but this was priced wrong and now they are saying he’s got Delerium but it may have been caused by Aesthetic. However we feel it may have been caused by the delay of the hospital operations and toxins being released in his body.

I must make this clear , we are NOT looking at financial gain from the findings but we want the correct procedure carried out to flush any possible toxins out of the body but the hospital are just guessing the Delerium is caused by the anaesthetic and seem to brush the possible issue of toxins under the carpet. What can I do ?

Seek advice from someone suitably qualified?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
