  • Dla to pip

My DLA was suspended for alleged fraud. So I sought advice from CAB.
Unfortunatley, the person advising me made a mistake and wrongly advised me that it was not a suspension and that I could not go back to DLA.
I was then advised to apply for PIP.
So, I applied for PIP by phone on 29th September and got a text confirming this.
On the 2nd October, I got another text stating that the application forms had been sent out and that I needed to return the forms by 29th October.
On the 3rd of October, DLA reinstated my DLA.

So, I spoke with PIP who said they would contact DLA and cancel my PIP application and that DLA would put me back on the books so to speak.
I then got another text from PIP who extended my PIP return date till 26/11/2023 because I was on holiday.
I then contacted PIP again and was transfered to a more senior person, who advised that they would contact DLA again, and that they would update me by text of the current situation.
The senior person asked me had anybody informed me that once you applied for PIP, you could not go back to DLA. I informed her that no one had informed me of this.
I never recieved the promised text.
So, I spoke with the CAB yesterday who advised me to contact DLA and ask them to put me me back on DLA.
The CAB advised that one of the team thinks that because I have not filled in the application form and because I made the application in the first place, that the DLA should have me back.
Another member of staff believes that the DLA are correct in not having me back.
What do you think is the correct answer.
    Regards for all information.
