Council Tax/Housing Benefit recipients

Has anyone on benefits ever been summoned to attend Magistrates Court for alleged Council Tax/Housing Benefit debts?
I'm interested to hear your accounts of what exactly happened, and whether or not you were even given the opportunity to put your case to the Magistrates

Hi there,

I've had the paperwork from the court this morning. The council are seeking possession of my home due to arrears largely due to losing £90 a month to my bank in charges.

If I can help with anything let me know, as I really feel like giving up on it all.
