Could do with a bit of deciphering
The Ombudsman cannot consider a complaint which;
a) relates to a sale of PPI make before 29 August 2017
on condition that;
the complaint:
(i) is made on or after 29 August 2019;
(ii) relates to the sale of a payment protection contract that was live as at 29 August 2017;
I'm not sure on that 'was live' part ?
And is it basically saying that any PPI sold before 29 August 2017 cannot be complained about with regards misselling ?
So if you were sold PPI insurance today, then in three years when you get into trouble paying and find out you had PPI,and it was missold - you can't complain ? That's doesn't seem right so I'm thinking I'm reading the document incorrectly.
