Please can someone give me some advice.
In 1998, I took out my mortgage with the then Abbey National.
I was advised to take out PPI or I probably would be refused my mortgage.I did this although not realizing my job covered m for illness for a year.
In 2013, a family member who has his own company suggested that he would claim PPI for me for a small fee and i agreed to this.
He sent all the documents to Santander but they refused the claim giving six months to respond.
He told me this was in hand and even told me that he was taking this to the Ombudsman. He kept telling me that this will take time.
At the beginning of this year, I called the Ombudsman myself and they said that they had never received a claim.
I have filled out the claims forms again as suggested by Santander but they have replied to the Ombudsman saying that as their final letter received no response within the six months given, they refuse to re look at this again.
Is there anything more I can do?????
