  • Help! Black Horse PPI Claim from 1997 (Advice needed)

Hi, I hoping you can help

I had a Car loan from UDT (United Domain Trust) now Black Horse way back in 1997.

I can remember the car salesman insisting that I needed PPI, I can remember it like it was yesterday as I was young and it was my first real big purchase. He kind of pressured me into it.

I put 5k cash and financed the other 5k. My payments were £164.55 a month, which included PPI.

I've got my bank statements from that time, along with a UDT account reference number showing the monthly payment to UDT, but don't have a copy of the original credit agreement.

I've contacted Black Horse to complain about being mis-sold, but after numerous contact and sending of statements, they don't have any record of it, although they have acknowledged that I have evidence of a UDT loan, as it's over 15 years old, they have quoted the data protection Act, stating they are unable to move my complaint forward as there is no evidence of PPI.

I would be grateful for any advise regarding my next steps, if I have any...

    Thanks
    Buster
