(Competition Commission (CC) PPI Inquiry
The CC has issued a Profitability Paper stating that PPI has historically been very profitable. It states that since 2005 loans have only been marginally profitable, or negative, without PPI. RBS Emerging thinking Hearing will take place on 14 February. Preparation continues with a mock hearing scheduled for 6 February. RBS is finalising a detailed information request from the CC focusing on the relationship between PPI and the underlying credit products.
