I am hoping somebody can offer me some advice as I am rather up to my neck in things... I could post a few more of these on RBS, OPUS, MBNA and RBS (again) all are active problems, (I could use assistance with these too so anyone who wants insight please PM me), however....
Barclaycard. Barclaycard sent me an offer of settlement on miss sold PPI on the 1st of August. The calculation was £4888 (This included copies of statements held by me back to December 2000 which Barclaycard claimed not to have)
So far so good. The letter stated 'Payment will be made within 4 weeks' Good...
That was the 1st of August. Well August rolled by, into September. Several phonecalls to their 0844 number at whatever cost that is, various excuses given, eg 'Payment in final stages of Authorization', 'Payment will be made shortly', then this week... 'Oh I'm terribly sorry this has been referred out', 'who to?' 'star chamber'... 'why?' 'Don't know', 'when will I hear back?' 'Don't know', 'Is there a problem?' 'Don't know'... Ever read Kafka's 'The Trial'?, I now know how Joseph K felt.
I can't afford to spend my life on an 0844 number, I'm fighting RBS tooth and nail (that ones cost me my shop), I had actually referred this to the Ombudsman alone with all of the above in September as by then I had a sneaking suspicion this was going to be a problem.
Anyway, as I'm out of ideas I could really use an opinion on all this.
