Hi,
i have read with interest the statements made on another thread with regard to ppi claim rejection. I have recently had my claim rejected by MBNA and now it is being put forward to the financial ombudsman on my behalf by the company I am using to deal with my claims.
The one thing I did not understand on mbna's rejection letter was the following and would appreciate if any one could clarify this for me or advise on what I could do:
i had the telephone call from mbna as mentioned in an earlier thread and the guy then said that he had a sensitive question to ask me which was" I understand you were diagnosed with breast cancer, which I confirmed was correct and said that I was diagnosed in 2007. In their rejection letter they say that I had stated I had a pre-existing medical condition when I made my application for their credit card in 1994 but this was not diagnosed until 2007 as quoted in my telephone conversation! I am very angry that they are using such a sensitive condition as one of their rejection reasons knowing for well that this would not have been the pre-existing medical condition in 1994!
can anyone advise on how I could approach mbna on this point.
Thankyou
Hazel
