hi bill-k thanks for your reply on the caculations thread ,my claim is with a yorkshire bank credit card which i took out in 1995 when in the forces, the card was in use until 2006 and is now closed.
clydesdale refused to uphold so i went to fos,it took me 6 months and 3 sar attempts to get copy statements but they only go back to march 2000 and some from that year are missing. Fos agreed that i should get my ppi back but they would only refund from 2000 to 2006.
I did nt agree so went to the ombusman who has provisionally upheld in my favour pending further evidence from clydesdale, he was due to give his final decision after the 19th of march, am still waiting but they have told me no reply came from clyesdale so am quite confident it is being upheld. This has so far taken two years but i feel we are nearly there.
In his letter it states they have to put me back in postion as per fos guidelines and are to take an average ppi/balance/payment for the first year they have statements for and apply it to the years from 95 to 2000 ,wonderful news .
what i would like to do is to try to work out what i should be looking at in way of a refund as i dont trust them as they have been very obstructive and difficult in all dealings since this began.
i have tryed to use your calulator but arnt sure how to input the average years /payments on the spreadsheets.
I apreciate all or any help please and realise you guys are unindated on your excellent site , it will be 3 months before i expect anything from clydesdale reading other peoples experences any way .
many thanks
